Professional Experience
Gracia Arthur is an Electrical Engineer with over 15 years experience in power systems protection and control, wholesale electricity market regulations, renewable energy engineering and utility scale green hydrogen storage.
He spent over six years at the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), where he undertook wide-ranging tasks from power systems protection and control to managing electricity market and settlement processes and interacting with regulators and policymakers to ensure reliable and secure power supply from the grid.
Gracia later joined the Market Operations Section in GRIDCo and participated in developing Market Rules for Ghana’s wholesale electricity market. Prior to that, he worked with the Ministry of Energy in Ghana, where he coordinated electrification to over 145 rural communities amongst other power generation and transmission projects.
Gracia works with Main Engineering Services Limited as an external consultant responsible for grid performance studies on utility scale storage technologies such as battery and green hydrogen.
