Professional Experience
Ing. Cyril M. King is a Professional Engineer with 18 years experience in Ghana's Power Sector having worked with the Volta River Authority, VRA and the Ghana Grid Company Limited, GRIDCo for 4 years and 14 years respectively.

During these years of dedicated service in the Power Sector of Ghana, he operated and was involved in commissioning of key substations and transmission lines in the National Interconnected Transmission System, NITS. Tamale, Techiman, Bolga, Yendi, Sawla, Buipe and Sunyani substations are just but a few of the substations he operated.

In April, 2012, Ing. Cyril M. King was transferred to the Southern Network Service Department of GRIDCo to help set up the Tema and Accra Area Operating Sections, a task he successfully carried out with utmost dedication.

Ing. King also played key roles and also took part in the commissioning of various Power Projects aimed at expanding Ghana's National Interconnected Transmission System, NITS. Some of these Projects are ; The Mallam Substation Upgrade Project, The Substation Reliability Enhancement Project SREP, The World Bank Sponsored Smelter II Substation Project, The JICA sponsored Accra Central Substation Project which is the first ever HV GIS project in Ghana, The MCC sponsored Pokuase Substation Project and also the MCC sponsored Kasoa GIS BSP Project.

He also did some works in the areas of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
In the area of Renewable Energy, he designed Roof Top solar systems for Main Engineering Services Limited, He also developed Power Evacuation Report for a 20 MW Biomass Project being undertaken by S&C Energy Limited & Saftec Ghana Limited.

In the Area of Energy Efficiency, he carried out Energy Performance Certification Audit as an Expert on a REEEEPUBLIC Project being undertaken by GIZ and Ghana Green Building Council.

Currently, Ing. Cyril M. King also served as the Head of the Operations Section of GRIDCo’s Accra Area with the responsibility of safe and reliable operation of 7 power substations and associated HV transmission lines in Ghana's Capital City, Accra and parts of Central Region of Ghana.
