Ag Arcadia Invest Ltd, Isef Business Consult and S&C Energy International Limited  intend to develop a 640MW Utility scale solar power plant in Democratic Republic of Congo, Main Engineering Services Limited carried out Grid Impact Studies on behalf of S&C Energy International Limited in 2019 .

 

The objectives of the study were to determine suitability of various substations within the HV transmission network for integration of a proposed 640MW solar plant into the National grid of Congo. The works also involved the determination of appropriate transmission line capacities, the line routing from the plant sites to the selected substations as well as various requirements to determine the voltage and frequency stability within the corridors selected.
