3.34MW Ground-mount Solar Plant for Helios Solar Limited, a subsidiary of LMI Holdings
Main Engineering Services Limited conducted Feasibility Study on a proposed 3.34MW Ground-mount Solar plant in 2023. The project was to be developed and operated by Helios Solar Limited a subsidiary of LMI Holdings. The plant which is to be constructed within open spaces in the vicinity of Enclave Power Substation in Tema, Ghana will be integrated into the MV side of the substation.
The Objective of the Feasibility Study was to analyse the solar resource potential and suitability of the proposed location for a ground-mount solar PV plant,evaluate the land availability, topography, and environmental factors influencing the site, Design and sizing of the solar PV plant, considering the power requirements and characteristics of the Enclave Power Company's infrastructure.
Other Project objectives were assessment of solar PV technologies and system components suitable for the project, Evaluation of the electrical infrastructure and grid integration requirements, Cost estimation for the entire project, including equipment, installation, and ancillary services as well as Financial modeling, including project cash flows, return on investment, and payback period.
